Rosemary Mair returns as New Zealand reveal Women's T20 World Cup 2024 squad

New Zealand have included four uncapped players in their squad for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa, including 16-year-old Izzy Gaze. The squad, which was announced on Tuesday, also includes the return of Rosemary Mair, who has been recalled to the side after a two-year absence. Mair, who has played 85 T20Is for New Zealand, is a hard-hitting batter who can also bowl leg-spin. She was part of the New Zealand team that won the Women's T20 World Cup in 2018. Gaze, who is the youngest player in the squad, is a left-arm fast bowler who has impressed for Canterbury in the Super Smash domestic competition.
