Evelyn Bliss Adds Bison of the Week to Trophy Case

A Bison of the Week!

NORTHERN STATE ATHLETICS- Senior outside hitter Evelyn Bliss collected her fifth career Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week award this past week.

The Bison went 3-0 on the week, as Bliss posted 52 kills, 20 digs, nine blocks, and three service aces. She averaged 4.73 kills per set, 1.82 digs per set, and 0.82 blocks per set while hitting .359.

The native of Chaska, Minnesota, put together double-doubles against both Upper Iowa and Wayne State, and she added 17 kills and five blocks in the sweep of Southwest Minnesota State.

This season, Bliss leads the NSIC with 418 kills and 4.51 kills per set. She also ranks among the top 10 in the league in digs and blocks.

Bliss and the Bison are back in action on Friday against Concordia-St. Paul (17-9, 10-6 NSIC) at Wachs Arena. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m.
