Slovakia 1-2 Ukraine: Ukraine Fight Back To Secure First Euro 2024 Win

Ukraine staged an impressive comeback as they fought back from a goal down to secure their first win in Euro 2024.

Slovakia took the lead in the first half through a header from Ivan Schranz. However, Ukraine responded in the second half with goals from Mykola Shaparenko and Artem Dovbyk to turn the game on its head.

The victory moves Ukraine up to second place in Group E, while Slovakia remain bottom of the table. Slovakia's defeat is their second in as many games and leaves them without a win in the tournament so far.

The result means that Ukraine have now won their first match at a major tournament since they beat Sweden 2-1 in the group stage of the 2012 European Championship.
