Chelsea Manager Looks Ahead To Last 16 Tie

Tuchel Previews Lazio Clash in Champions League Presser

Chelsea Manager Looks Ahead to Last-16 Tie

On Tuesday night, Thomas Tuchel will be looking to guide his Chelsea side to a first-leg advantage in their Champions League round of 16 clash with Lazio. The Blues head to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in good form, having won three of their last four matches in all competitions, including a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.

Tuchel: We Need to Be at Our Best

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Tuchel warned that Chelsea will need to be at their best if they want to get a positive result in Rome. "Lazio are a very good team, with a lot of quality and experience," said Tuchel. "We need to be at our best if we want to get a good result. We need to be focused, disciplined, and clinical. We need to play with intensity and passion. If we do that, then we have a chance of winning."

Tuchel also revealed that he is likely to make some changes to his team for the match. "I will make some changes to the team, but I'm not going to say who," said Tuchel. "I want to keep Lazio guessing. We need to be fresh and ready for this game. We need to be at our best if we want to win."

Chelsea will be without the suspended Mason Mount for the match, but Tuchel has a number of other options to choose from in attack, including Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham, and Kai Havertz.
